SOURCE: How much oil for a 2006 honda crf 250x?

The crankcase oil fill is the dipstick hole on the left side of the engine. It holds .73 quart. The right side fill plug is for the transmission oil. It holds .63 quart. You will need to drain the transmission oil and refill it with the correct amount of oil. The drain is located on the left lower crankcase. It is bolt/washer in the parts diagram of the link below. I recommend you purchase an owners manual or service manual for this bike as this is a high performance model that requires frequent maintenance.

SOURCE: Kawasaki 2006 KX450F Oil capacity

Fill to the site glass. Anywhere from middle of the glass to just below the top of the glass. The engineers put the glass there for a reason. Typographic errors do come to light at times.

Top rating on the answer! Thanks. :)

SOURCE: How to check my oil level on 04 Yamaha yzf 600

YZF600R is a carbureted model. OIL: The oil sight glass is a round window, low on the right side. Very hard to try to see when astride the bike, even if you use a mirror on an extension rod. Have a friend hold the bike level, perhaps, while you check. Oil should be sighted after the bike has been sitting for a time after riding. I suggest using a good 10W-40 regular motorcycle oil (Least expensive around here in Boston is to buy Kawasaki by the gallon at Riverside) I found the pesky 1st-to-2nd shift to be more direct with this oil than with synthetic. I had plenty of opportunity to compare the two types. GAS: No reserve, but as noted, there is a low fuel light, in the row of lights that includes the neutral light and the high beam indicator. You ought to be getting over 50 m.p.g., so you can estimate your 'range' from that. I usually fill up again around the 180 mile period. I think I've seen the low fuel light once in 6 years of ownership. OH: I suggest you treat the gas, on a regular basis, with 'marine' Stabil, not the regular stuff. I have had a 'gummy' Yamaha Virago 250 to care for, that I thought would never clear its fuel problems. Last winter ('08-'09) stored it with the marine Stabil in the tank and run for a while to get it into the carbs also. Within a few minutes of running it this spring-actually a couple weeks ago- it smoothed out and has run fine since. I believe this HAS to be as a result of the treatment of the fuel (run through the carbs before the winter storage) with this special Stabil. It was recommended by Carlo at Riverside- I'll have to remember to thank him for the advice. N.B. I always change the fuel (siphon it out, put that Stabil'ed but 'old' stuff into my car tank, refill the bikes with fresh 93 octane) each Spring.

SOURCE: Correct bike position to check oil level

Up right position. At most shop it is in upright straight position as well, just lifted in the air. That's how we do it at our harley shop anyways

How to check engine oil level in bajaj bikes

Hi,

It will either have a dipstick on the side of the engine which you can unscrew or it will have a spy glass.

The dipstick will be on the top side of the engine case where the clutch is on the left side of the bike when sitting on it. You should be able to unscrew it by hand. when you remove it you will see markings on it with a high and low level. you need to put oil through that hole and keep checking the level with the dipstick until you are within those markings. It may say somewhere on the engine what oil is required, if not you should be ok with a 10w/40 semi synthetic for that bike.

If it has a spy glass (little glass hole where you can see into the clutch housing) it will be on the left side of the engine at the bottom. However if it has this you will still have a cap at the top left as described above. it will just be minus the dipstick with markings. In this case you put your oil in until you see the oil filling the spyglass and stop just below the top level indicator which should be marked on the engine either side of the spyglass.

hope that helps.

You could probably check on you tube to see if their is a video on it too.

How much oil goes in the engine and transmission of a 2006 Harley Davidson Streetbob?

Usually the oil tanks hold three quarts of oil and the transmission holds 20-24 ounces. Check the engine oil with the bike on the stand. The dip stick has two marks on it. The upper mark is "Full Hot" and the lower mark is "Full Cold". Maintain the oil level between these two marks. Do not overfill.

The transmission has also has a dipstick to check the level with. It's a plug that takes a 3/8" hex key to remove. Check the level with the bike standing straight up. Level should be between the end of the dipstick and the mark.

Good Luck

I Have a BMW K1200GT 2006 and after i change oil and filter the oil check not work normally only OIL------ . Before it vas OIL< like OK Thanks

Hello. Unbelievably the change oil warning light is not resettable without either going to a dealership or owning an expensive "fault code BMW resetting tool". If you do a lot of your own work, the tool may be a good investment. here is a link to purchase one http://www.bimmerzone.com/resettool.htm#2

Need to no why my bike dosnt have an oil site glass

Check your owners manual it will tell you how many cc or oz. to add also on alot of the dirt bikes it is stamped how much to add, buy a measuring cup and add per. bike specs.

If you don't have a manual do a internet search for your make and year of bike for how much oil to add.

There is not a dipstick or a sight glass on most dirt bikes...Hope this helps
