One rad hose goes to the water pump the other goes to the thermostat on top of the motor. undo the hose clamp and take off the hose that goes to the thermo . DO THIS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS COLD. have a small container handy to catch any coolant that may leak out. be sure to keep the hose up so coolant doesnt leak all over the ground.Once you take off the hose the thermostat should be right there. 2 bolts to take it out. fairly simple actually. replace with the new one and put hose back on. replace any coolant that might have leaked into your container. Hope this helps you Crystal. let me know. Thanks, Mark.

On A1996 Chrysler Sebring, How Can You Tell If The Thermostat Is Not Working?

Most of time the termostat will stick open
& in the cold weather you have little heat
when it gets to around 35 degrees

For a small number of unfornutate souls it
may stay closed & overheat & even ruin the
engine because they won't stop using the car

Other than putting it in a pot of water on the stove
to test it

Just install a new one every 6 or 8 years

Where is the termostat on a 2005 dodge ram 1500

On 3.7/4.7L engines follow the lower radiator hose to the engine block.
it will be attached to the thermostat housing by the pulley.
You may need to lift the truck and disassemble the splash guard to gain easy access.
Make sure your system is cooled and not pressurized.

Here is termostat

Follow the lower hose back behind the alternator and power steering pump. It will attach to a plastic housing that is bolted to the engine. The thermostat is behind that housing. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

2002 chrysler overheating replaced termostat, and sealed hose housing what else could it be?

Good Morning. Overheating could be caused by a few different things, and a few of them are the thermostat (which you did), the cooling fans coming on when the car gets up to temperature, the water pump, and even into some harder things like head gaskets. So I would say the next thing to do is make sure your fans are working properly and go from there cooling is the key. Hope this helps, and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

How to change the termostat on chrysler sebring convertable 2.7 engine

The thermostat on the 2.7 is in the block on the left side behind the lower radiator hose. Follow the lower hose to the block, remove the hose and housing and there it is.
