Sounds like you have low oil flow problem. Maybe restricted oil filter, or pickup in sump, kinked hose, from oil tank, etc. If you have any other information it would be useful.

I have a 2001 dakota that is overheating. put in new thermostat, didnt help. put in new water pump, still overheating. finally replaced the radiator. still is overheating. what else can I do to fix it

Sometimes when you open cooling system, air gets in, it can cause problems with temp gage.
How hot does it get in degrees F? Is the coolant boiling over? Are you losing coolant? Use a non-contact infra red temp gun to take engine temp, At least we will have a degrees F reading. Most temp gages say hi or lo, cold or hot. I don't know about yours?
Can you check for combustion gases in the coolant?

What does it mean when my oil temp gage reads high but coolant temp reads in middle on Audi a4 Quattro 2.8 v6

It means the oil is hotter than the coolant or you have a bad gauge or sender. Oil temp and coolant temp are very loosely related to each other. Coolant temp should remain within 10 degrees of thermostat temperature once warmed up. I think that has a 196 degree thermostat so the coolant should be no lower than 196 and no higher than 206, tho up to 220 is relatively normal if it's hot out and/or you're running it hard. Oil temp is loosely regulated if at all, as long as it's not above 250 sustained or 300 in short bursts you're fine. Much above that and there's a problem, but it would most likely be a bad reading. It's hard to over heat the oil unless you're on a race track.

What temperature should my 1987 caprice brougham LS be running at?

If it is actually the engine running at 220 degrees, then yes that is a little high, but not actually overheated. The truth of the matter is that the guage is probably not 100% acurate and the actual engine temp is probably somewhere closer to 190-205... and if that is the case there is nothing wong.

2004 Harley Davidson low rider engine runs hot

The manufacture recomends the oil temp runs between 200 and 240 degrees, but they state too that the oil will not start breaking down till 300 degrees. Most bikes now days have and oil filter housing adapter that circulates coolant through it, you might check your thermostat and make sure there is no debri in the radiator flues.

The temp control tops out at 390. The oil doesn't get hot enough to make french fries

You need a good external thermometer to check your oil temp.
Everything fries at 350-375 degrees.
Any hotter and the oil burns.

YOUR ENGINE OPERATING RATING TEMPERATURE SUPPOSE TO BE 190 TO 200 DEGREES. IF COOLANT SENSOR DEGREES IS SHOWING 190 OR 200 DEGREES IT WORKING.THAT RIGHT.IF ITS SHOWING 60 OR 80 DEGREES IT FAULTY. AND ENGINE WILL RUN POORLY.

Washer is a top load set it hot water and starts with hot and then will go cold willnot stay on hot G E Profile ,model wwa8350g

most new washers sense water temp and will try to adj final tub water temp by alternately running cold or hot as needed ..most hot settings are not faucet temp but a predetermined temp so if your hot water is 140 degrees coming in the control will switch the cold on to bring final tub water temp down to preset ..which could be as low as 100 degrees the industry's way of energy conservation
