You may have a vacuum leak. Your carbs may just need be adjusted and synced. I would not be surprised if the carbs have been out of sync since day one.

Will not run without choke 1997 Suzuki GSF 1200 Bandit S

Hello, bike not running off of choke is an indication that the pilot circuit in the carbs is plugged.. the choke is a enriching circuit hence why it runs only with the choke on. When turned off the bike starves for fuel and dies. My guess is the bike has sat for longer than 4 months and the pilot jets are plugged from varnish... they will need to be removed and properly cleaned.

How do you adjust the clutch able on a bandit

are you trying to adjust the lever engagement or is the clutch - slipping ( or dragging )
i thought that this bike has a hydraulic clutch - but if it is cable operated - there will be an adjuster at each end of the cable - loosen the locknut and either tighten or loosen as required - there should be some slack at the lever - about 1/8 inch or 5 degrees of travel - re-tighten the locknut

My 1993 suzuki gsf 400 bandit will only start if i spray starter fluid into the intake on the breather or if i jump it off !

The carburetor choke circuit is probably plugged up. Remove the carbs and thoroughly clean them making sure that the choke orifice are especially opened.

How do you change the choke cable on a gsf 400 bandit

Once you remove the gas tank, it will be very obvious. Cable easily comes out of the thumb mechanism easily when you take it apart.

Fault with electric start on my Suzuki GSF 250 Bandit

Check that the clutch is in, kick stand up, and neutral light ablaze. Then try your start button. When you had it running and hit the button, the starter engaged at a slower speed then the bike engine was turning, which led to the stall. The stall means your starter works. If the starter works when the engine is running then it is wiring. Check your kick stand wiring along with the clutch wires which plug in on the handlle bar or where the clutch cable enters the engine.
