The spark plug gap for a 2010 Suzuki 49cc moped should be 0.6-0.7mm or 0.024-0.028 inches. It's important to consult your owner's manual or service manual for the specific gap recommended by the manufacturer, as different models and years may have different requirements. It's also a good idea to check the gap of your spark plug when you install it as they can sometimes be out of spec.
The spark plug gap can depend on the spark plug manufacturer. Different manufacturers list different gap. What is the manufacturers name on the spark plug?
I've seen some listed at .032 gap, but, I have seen other gap specs, depends on the manufacturer.
If it was running fine when you got the bike it makes me wonder how you discovered the spark plugs were rotten? Clearly they weren't very rotten...
Spark plug gaps rarely need adjusting these days prior to fitting, mostly just checking to ensure a gap hasn't been closed due to being dropped is all that is needed. I am wondering if you made the elementary mistake of confusing metric and imperial measurements; I apologise if you find the suggestion insulting.
If it wasn't an elementary mistake, I think you should begin a systematic fault diagnosis by checking the spark power and quality.
the only thing you can adjust is spark plug gap. the others are computer controlled. the gap can be found on the emission sticker, located in the engine compartment on the underside of the hood or on the fan shroud. possibly on the shock mount tower.
Spark plug gap is something that people will have different opinions, set them as per the manual. If you are buying new ones, they should be set as per the manufacturers specification and should not need adjustment. Never bang the plug against something to change the gap, adjust with some sort of lever. Plugs tend to fracture when hit hard enough and you might never know until it doesn't work.
