Is the belt stretched out! or the tensioner is weak, and not holding enough pressure on drive belt. if in doubt replace the belt. there should be marks on tensioner for the belt tension. if battery and alternater are ok. then it has to be the belt, tensioner, are the battery connection clamps, clean and tight! good-day !

Why does,nt alternator charge the battery?

You need to check the small connector that plugs into the back of the alternator. One of the pins will have a power supply when the ignition is in the on position. It could be 12v or 5v so a voltmeter should be used to detect it. If no power check fuses. Possible bad charge fuse or wiring to the alternator. If power supply is there, possible faulty alternator ( even though it's new )

Hello, MY 2005 Nisan frontier will not start. About 3 days ago, the battery light would stay on after the engine started...had the battery checked and it was fine...then serviced it yesterday but it still...

Battery might seem fine on a routine check, but the crancking amp power is not there anymore, seems that your alternator is not charging it anymore, have the alternator checked and replaced if needed, the battery might need replacing too.

Dash lights come on..mph gauge went down..radio cut out..loss of power in engine..kills batterie. While running, removed pos. batt. cable and engine died. Altenator problem??

You need to replace the Alternator. The vehicle died because you removed the power supply to all the accessories, if you remove the Negative cable and it dies then you know for sure it is the alternator. that is an old shade tree way to test the alternator.

Batery will go death every 2 weeks aprox.

it sounds like you have a draw on the batt. you can test for draw by disconnect + cable from batt. then
use a 12v test light with 1 end + batt term the other to the cable end now with all doors shut all lights
and electronics off + key in your pocket also you may have to remove the engine comp. bulb to avoid
a false read the test light should be out if not you have a draw. the next step is with the test light in
place pull 1 fuse at a time till light go's out that fuse
controls the circut giving you problems
(pull dome bulb before you pull fuses no false read)
also, check any after market devices first radios-
alarms-remote starters etc.
with that said the problem may be intermitent as you
said every 2 weeks if you get no results on1st test
next time the batt. is dead (not flat stone dead)
test it again before you jump it this would be the
best chance to catch an intermitent draw.
any other ? gimme a shout good luck

My gen light comes on, volts goes down to around 10, dash lights goes dim, and i had the alternator and battery tested and they were both fine. Any suggestions

Im not sure how you tested the alt. but its a good idea to take a volt meter and with the car running, check at the battery and the check at the back of the alternator on the big wire its the 12v feed from the battery, you should read the same voltage at the batt. example 14.3 vor so at the batt. and only10v or so at the alt or even zero V.then we can narrow it down a little to a possible open circuit between the batt. and alt.If you need any diagrams just let me know, hope it was helpful have a good day DB
