My friends who ride ATCs always ask me questions about doing the valves. Everyone seems to be scared of doing their own valves. I suggest you buy a copy of the Honda 350x Service Manual and it will show you how easy it is. You can do it! Honda ATC 350x Manual

SOURCE: How do I adjust the valves on my 2003 Yamaha Warrior YFM 350X?

first you need to remove everything that covers your valve covers(gas tank etc.) remove the intake valve cover, and the rotor nut and timing plug.set the engine a t.d.c.(top dead center)fit a socket onto the rotor nut and turn it counterclockwise until the"I" mark appears align it with the index mark in the timing hole.use a flat feeler gauge between the top of the valve and the adjuster.loosen the locknut and turn the adjuster just until you feel resistance on the feeler guage.hold the adjuster and tighten the lock nut down.i can not tell you the min.clearance spec to your quad since i have a 660 raptor.try using the smallest clearance number.

Do you set the intake and exhaust valves at the same time when it is on TDC on my 1985 honda 350x three wheeler

It is a 4 valve, 4 stroke engine so only one of the strokes has both sets or valves closed. The is called the combustion stroke. With the spark plug removed you can turn the engine at the crankshaft bolt. Drop a pencil into the combustion chamber at at TDC you will see the pencil rise to its highest point before it starts to go back down. That is when you measure the valve clearance.

How to adj the set screw on the bottom of carb on a 125 Suzuki 3wheeler

Greetings, Kenny. I'm guessing you are referring to the air/fuel adjustment *****. Most small engines will perform quite well with the ***** turned out one and a half to three turns. Seldom is this adjustment the reason for hard-starting or poor performance, however. To resolve carbureter problems you may remove the ***** from the carb and shoot some carb cleaner up into the carb. Turn the ***** clockwise for a lean mix; counter-clockwise for a richer mixture.
