If there is low compression in one cylinder the fault wil be shown more at IDLING as the engine will not be smooth. So there will be reduced power and it might also skip.
In th long run you will have reduced power of the engine even as the engine will not show on higher RPM and thus the fuel useage will be more.
It will be good to check out and estimate to get the compression corrected to all cylinders.

1991 Ford Aerostar runs fine when cold then starts missing when it warms up?

Try spraying carb cleaner around the intake if idle increases it is a bad intake gasket. It also could be a bad plug/s, wires, or low compression in one of the cylinders. At higher idle a slightly lower compression cylinder is not noticeable but after warming up the idle drops causing the cylinder to have a misfire.

Will the heads have to be pulled in order to check so see if it is a valve that is causing low compression? How long can you drive on a p0303 ?

Low compression does not require head removal. Do a compression test on a cylinder, then squirt some oil in the spark plug hole. Do the compression test on that cylinder again. If the compression goes up then the rings are worn. P0303 is a misfire in cylinder 3. This lets unburnt gas into the catalytic convertor. The cat can overheat, melt and be ruined. If the check engine light is blinking don't drive the car. A misfire is either no gas, no spark or low compression. The quivering light can be from idle or failing alternator. Put the probs of a multimeter on the battery posts. Set the meter to volts dc. Start the car the voltage should be between 13 and 14.6 volts. Anything more or less points to an alternator problem.

I have a random cylinder misfire code what to do?

Depending on the miles on it, Usually a missfire has to do with a bad spark plug or spark plug wires, If they never been changed, If it has verry high mileledge on it end was not maintained well, There could be low compression in a cylinder, That can cause it to run rough, Hope this helps you out,

My dakota won't idle when cold but idles fine when warm. it also skips in low rpms

YOU NEED NEW SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES.REPLACE FUEL FILTER,CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS BY ADDING CAN OF SEAFOAM TO 3/4 TO FULL TANK OF GAS SEE IF HELP PROBLEM.IF ENGINE STILL MISSES YOU COULD HAVE WEAK IGNITION COIL AND LOW CYLINDER COMPRESSION.

My car is skipping i have replaced my coil packs my plugs and wires injectors and vaccume lines still skipping when im at idle and driving down the road

Have the module tested, and do a compression test to make sure its not a weak cylinder due to low compression, this car is listed here as a 1995 camaro which cant be but make no diffrence, remove module and test if it low compression then i would do a motor vac, this is a fuel system cleaning and decarbonizing, i ve had a few that other shop told them that motor neede rebuilding , itold customer to try a motor vac and it worked it had carbon build up on the valves keeping one cylinders valves from closing all the way. if driven too long the valves will get brunt and then its $$, hope this helps.

scan check egr valve make sure its working. check plug wires and vacuum hoses +pvc valve make sure its not stuck open.bad or dirty fuel injections.causes rough idling.if all is good do a compression test to check for weak cylinders or low compression.
