SOURCE: gear box oil
800 ml on a sstandard mito - same wit supercit5y and planet and raptor presumably same for freccia. Just so ya know manuals can be found in the stickies for free or from me fo free [email protected] (MSN and email addy). Remember that unless your engine is new around 100 ml will be left in the engine after you have emptied it. so fill 700 and top up if necessary using the dipstick - too much bogs down
SOURCE: bike loses power
and although it runs fine most of the time it has cut out 3 times for no apparent reason - it just loses power and then won't re-start for a few minutes. The only likely explanation seems to be carb icing - there's nothing obviously wrong with the bike otherwise. Someone told me 2 strokes don't get carb icing but that makes no sense to me. Can anyone tell me whether these bikes are prone to carb icing and if so what I can do about it?,carb icing is maybe a factor but i doubt it.ive worked on all kinda bikes for 20 years and have rebuilt a freecia last year.freccias are fickle fings so i would suggest that u make sure the fundementals are correct first.i,e float hieght, condition of carb and jets.check coorect grade of plug and ht lead & cap.cagiva do reccomend in cold weather to add a little two stroke oil in the fuel tank so this may suggest a link to carb icing.if the above checks out ok and u still have problems then it could be time to check electrical side of things.also and i know im going on like an old fart but is your piston \ bore ok.? realy advise you change piston evry 6k miles. ,,,

did you check the primary coil? the ignition coil?if you think that these are all good, then you must replace the CDI.You cant test a CDI if this is good or not because it is a form of IC or integrated circuit, unless you have a manufacturer's diagram of it.You can check it by by detaching into its plug and get and replace an old CDI which you know is working, for example, get the CDI of the other motorcycle (if it has)the try to plug-in ,and if it fires, then thre you can surely know that the problem is on the CDI.
