If you have side marker lights then you have a short between them and the tail light sockets, its the same circuit , you need a meter to check this, remove one tail light bulb,, put the black lead to the base of the bulb holder, and the red lead to the little dab of solder inside the bulb socket, if your show 12v ,, then its the bulb , if not,, the socket isn't getting power and you need to back track the short or broken wire, ( make sure that the lights are on when doing this test ) normally the problem will be found where the wires in the harness come into the trunk area, or its just a bad ground,, so check that first
Need to know if parking lights are also on same circuit. Front flashers ok, but no parking lights or side marker lights function.
you should have a fuse that states tail lights, I don't have your exact fuse box diagram, but I'll see if I can run it down, the front ones would say parking lights and be a separate fuse, Please up my rating as a 2 thumbs up means I haven't assisted you according to your question, thanks ,, I'll see if my friend with a Jeep cherokee has a book for his ,
ok, he said he had the same problem, this is how he fixed the issue ,, remove the socket that holds the bulb,, you will see 3 chrome contacts on the assembly ,, the one that sits by itself is the ground,, heat warps that wire, and the plastic doesn't help,, he took a very small flat head screw driver, and very gently pried up on that contact ,, (I'd check them all ) he replaced the bulb and everything worked after that
not really sure how to up the rating, if the like or dislike thing happens to be there clicking like,. is a 4 ?? other than that , I don't know, it doesn't show up on this end of the feed,

Per last response- all bulb sockets, i.e. tali lights & side marker lights? Parking lights work but with flashers only. Owners manual doesn't show any fuses for tail light or parking light assemblies. Thanks. Please advise how to "up" ratings and I'll gladly do that.
