1995 Suzuki rf600 not starting. When trying to start the bike it is not even turning over. When you switch on the headlight it comes on so I do not believe it is the battery causing the issue.

Sounds like you have a problem with the computer or the FI system on the bike. That is what the (F)uel (I)njection is on for.

If the engine wont turn over, probabily you have a bad battery, a bad starter or a bad starter relay, or bad connections.

A hot engine has more compression. If the full battery power doesn't reach the starter it won't turn over...

First check ignition fuse and emergency shutoff switch (kiil switch) then check power into CDI and run spark plug back to coils and check for damage.

Same problem here ... 2008 C90T ... dealer no help ... in 3rd or 4th, ignition off, force it to roll backwards until you hear the piston shift ... should start then. Told it's the rear piston stopping at or near top dead center, but also told adjust the decompression will "solve" the issue; anyway, a rolling forward-start in 4th will work, too, otherwise try rolling the bike backwards until you hear, and you will know when the piston moves and then it will start.

Sounds like vaporlock. Try insulating the fuel line, especially around hot engine parts.

Not sure if your bike has it but some have a kickstand switch. It is a safety feature that does not allow you to start your bike until you have raised the kickstand.

Hello Camron, i would not recommend the hot wire procedure. If you spike the controller it could do a lot of damage. Plus the stator & rectifier are not working properly. You can replace the ignition switch, that comes with 2 new keys cheaper than a locksmith will make one, in most cases. Here are a couple of links for ignition switches that will fit your bike.
I hope this helps.

I dumped my bike in my front yard landing on the kickstand side of the bike. The bike shut off but I did not turn the key off right away. About 5 minutes later my husband picked it up and tried to start it....

Most likely the switch has been damaged from the jolt. Replace it and try to start it then. That should close the circuit and allow the engine to crank. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Fault with electric start on my Suzuki GSF 250 Bandit

Check that the clutch is in, kick stand up, and neutral light ablaze. Then try your start button. When you had it running and hit the button, the starter engaged at a slower speed then the bike engine was turning, which led to the stall. The stall means your starter works. If the starter works when the engine is running then it is wiring. Check your kick stand wiring along with the clutch wires which plug in on the handlle bar or where the clutch cable enters the engine.
