Can you tell me the purpus of the two small exhausts with all the honey comb metle inside ,in between the down pipe and silancer thanks

catalytic converter is part of your exhaust system that has a honey comb like system with special metals that converts exhaust gas into more eco friend gas.

PLUGGED OR SATURATED WET CATILATIC CONVERTOR, OR A PLUGGED EXHAUST PIPE. THE CAT COULD ALSO OF GOTTEN WET WITH HEAVY RAIN PUDDLES AND SATURATED, IT HAS A HONEY COMB LIKE INSIDE AND THE SMALL BREATHER HOLES IN THE INSIDE OF THE CAT ARE SO SMALL A LAYER OF WATER LEVELING THE BOTTOM OF CAT, OR SATURATED HONEY COMS WILL CAUSE THE CAR TO ACT LIKE ITS FARTING, DYING FOR AIR, AND PLUGGED REDUCING THE POWER THE PEDAL IS REQUESTING THE MOTOR SPURT OUT, HOWEVER A PLUG OR WETNESS HAS GOT A MUFFLED AND SADLY ENOUGH PLUGGED SMALL PART(S0 THAT INTERFERES WITH THE AIR INTAKE/EXHALE OF YOUR BREATHABILITY OF YOUR CARS MOTOR COMBUSTIONS. GOOD LUCK, AGAIN, WET CAT, LIGHTLY TAP, SOMETIMES REMOVE BRACKET, DROP, EMPTY OUT AFTER TAPPING TRYING NOT TO DAMAE HONEYCOMB AS THIS WILL CHANGE EMISSION PASSING, BUT A NEW CAT SHOULD BE AVAIIABLE THAT IS CONSIDERED A UNIVERSAL FOR AROUND $40, AND THE UNSTALL IS SIMPLE IF YOU SLIP BY MIDAS OR SIMILAR.

The catalytic convertor is situated inline with the exhaust system. It reduces low level smog and noxious gasses by applying a high heat to engine exhaust gasses using a catalytic element such as platinum for example. It is typically situated close to the front of the exhaust system where the temperature is higher, allowing for a quicker heat-up period, after which it can begin to function. It's interior is typically a honey comb design. It looks from the exterior to resemble a large bulge in the otherwise straight exhaust pipe.

Maybe when hell freezes over and not even then. A converter is a hollow pipe with a honey comb inside nothing to reset. If your engine was or is missing or down on power the converter is plugged or melted and needs to be replaced

something is blocking either the manafold or in the cadlack converter. see if pipe is getting hot befor cadalack converter or after. just had same prob on customer car and found that a section of honey comb in cadalac onverter hade broken off and was blocking the exhaust when it ran for about 5 mins. we replace the cadalac onvert and the customer notified us 3 days later car was running fine.

if the converter was of the honey comb style then its possible that a piece of the old converter has broken off and lodge in the exhaust downstream from the converter causing a blockage in the exhaust system.the exhaust will have to be inspected to find the blockage from either tapping the exhaust to hear a rattle or visual inspection of the inside of the exhaust.

Cold air intake and straight pipe. Baffle would be a smog pipe. Looks like long bullet pipe. I would just use this and no muffler. Or get turbo muffler, and no cat or no smog.

My first thought is to have the Catalytic converter inspected. Many time the converters will have the insides break away and begin to float around, the insides of the converters look like a honey comb and after the engine is good and hot the dislodged piece will adhere to the other parts of the honey comb thus making the rattle go away.
