Have you checked your valve timing as it sounds like you are putting back pressure in to your inlet valves forcing the fuel through the carb and out the overflow
wot exactly are you trying to do ? do you want a better set off or more top end speed ? are those home made cavitation plate finns , if so buy doel finns or symilar as yours look like they mite bend ! you could raise the engine one or two bolt holes , you could spread the weight towards the front of boat , smaller pitch prop to increase set off , larger pitch to get more speed as long as engine reaching max revs still or will bog down but set off will suffer , skim the head to increase compression make sure all carbs clean and balanced and timing correct ! you can make 20mm wedges to fit between engine and transom to increase lift speed at set off ! give me an idear of wot you want if these tips dont help !! Try weaving side to side slowly while driving if the noise changes you have a bad wheel bearing. Also you can jack up the front end and check wheel play by placing hands at top and bottom. Hope this helps.
ALWAYS have a fire extinguisher on hand when working on carburetors. Drain the carburetor. There should be a plug on the bottom of the carb float bowl. Remove the plug then replace it after the fuel drains. Remove the carburetor from the engine.
Remove the float bowl and clean the entire carb with a spray carb cleaner from the auto parts store. Wear protective goggles to avoid getting spray in your eyes. Spray into all the little airways and fittings in the carb. Remove the air screw on the outside throat of the carb and spray into the screw hole as well. Be sure to put the air screw back in. IMPORTANT > do not tighten this adjuster down. Only screw it in until it LIGHTLY seats. Now turn the air screw one and one half turns outward. Put the rest of the carb back together, clean the air filter and install the carb. Let the float bowl fill then start the engine. Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?
Go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific bike. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part and/or the notation "Not Available" is in the description, the part is not in stock. www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrandand/parts.aspx
If the bike does not bog out on the bottom end then the power valve is working. Try cleaning the carb and be sure gas flows freely past the float needle.
Get a THX video set up disk (some movies have them on) and read the Onkyo manual for video setup between source and target. I have the BD35 Blu ray and a Panasonc 37" plasma, the pic via the amp was a bit off before the 4 hours of tweaking but now looks fab, after the process tweaks the sound sync needed a bit of work to get it all synched up but it is really worth the effort.
dear benny it seems to me the first thing to do is to clean carb. it sounds like the pilot jet is pluged which is the jet that controls 0-1/8 throttle setting. remove pilot jet and soak in carb cleaner use comp air to clean only use visual means to see it is clear hope this helps jim
