i have a gs 1200 the moter turning and the ligts on the screen are on but it wont start what can be the problem

Might be a fuel delivery problem like the fuel pump.POP the spark plugs out and squirt some fuel into the combustion chamber ,replace the plugs and crank the bike over. If it barks you know its a fuel problem. If not pop out one spark plug ,ground it,and yourself and have someone hit the start button. If you don't get a spark then you know its an ignition problem. Its a process of elimination to get to the problem.good luck

suzuki dr350 intermittent fault with all the electric

ok sounds like a battery/electrical fault. firstly check all connections to battery. does the battery go flat, have you a volt meter to check the battery voltage. if thats fine we'll move on to the alternator output / rectifier, let me know

harley wont start with choke on,but can start it with choke off

Hi Cully, if you have a carburator the usual suspects are:
1. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system (gas cap).
2. Inlet system air leak.
3. Vacuum piston malfunction.
4. Accelerator pump leaking or no output.
5. Plugged bowl vent.
6. Fuel level (float chamber) too low.
7. Restriccted fuel supply passages.
8. Plugged jets or passages.
9. Worn or damaged needle or needle jet.
10. Enrichner valve not seated or leaking.
Good luck

Changing the final drive oil on a 2006 r 1200 gs

I use a turkey baster and about six inches of fuel line. Put the fuel line into the final drive, then squeeze the bulb of the turkey baster and then put then protruding end of the hose against the end of the baster and **** the oil out of there. The final drive only holds a pint or so. My old K bike had an allen head drain plug, I guess the newer final drives have been "upgraded".
