Gpz 1000rx Engine dies on pull away.

My gpz 1000rx 1986 would start and rev fine but die on pull away, for weeks tried allsorts (carbs cleaned, plugs changed etc) Solution for me was WD40 the sidestand switch and tighten earth lead from battery where it bolts to engine block, now its fine. Hope this helps WAZZA

86 gpz 1000rx starts and runs well but dies when letting clutch out, new plugs and clean carbs.

I would check the safety switches are working properly, particularly the side-stand switch. On many bikes, the engine will die when you let the clutch out if you have the side stand down.

Probably a gas delivery problem to the carbs. Check the lines and check for a filter in the line or at the carbs. Something is stopped up and it can't get enough gas to go any rpms.
