You have a bad battery..... check all out at AutoZone or other auto stores that offer free testing. there are many. Simple... if it starts with a jump... you have a lack of battery power... bottom line. you should also check your charging system at same auto center. good luck Jerry

I had this happen bought a new battery,and turned out to be starter motor bushes burnt out, hope this helps.

Hi, begin by charging the battery and then taking it to an autoparts store or your motorcycle shop to have them test it. If the battery checks out ok, look at your fuses.

White smoke is usually never a good thing. Check your coolant level. You might have a head gasket leak that is letting coolant get into your cylinders.

Best mix is 50 water and 50 ethylene glycol (coolant) Measure both of these in ounce or ml containers and add the same amount of each one.

google a schematic for your application, this could be perfectly normal

NO -- there is no connection the problem may be in the wiring harness , ground point , regulator or the unit itself Have an accredited bike electrician check it out

they hold 3 litres with new filter

You need to let s know what make and model and year the bike is.

Usually it won't idle, or "hunts".

Check your main fuse an get back with me, it's under seat 30a

Change your rectifier/ stabilizer

Beings it did seem to work intermittently ("sometimes they would work") tells me there is a loose wire, or loose electrical connection somewhere along the wire run.

That's about all anyone can do is tear it down and search for the problem,it isn't a cheap fix!!!

First off a 05 dont have slipper clutch or idel screw I have an 05 only 08 & up has slipper if it's ticking its cam chain tentionr or clutch assmbly plates springs ect or valves need adjusting

sounds like something in the instrument cluster is searching for a ground. ck. all ground circuits for cleanliness.

I don't think the harness is the issue. Are you getting power to the pump and it's not working?
