Few suggestions(if not checked already):
Holed or incorrectly seated diaphram?
Timing advance?
I Presume you have checked already the air correction and needle jets too.

There is both a service manual and an owners manual available freebies, but are you sure it is running hot, some engines have a higher operating temperature. Anyway, look it up (and tell me I am wrong :D)

you have little tiny bulbs plugged in from the bottom of your speedo covered w/rubber boots. replace your bulbs..good luck to you friend..Tim

Have you tried to push in gear ?

Remove the spark plug and see if this helps as there will be no obstruction to the compression.
Also remove the carburators and see if the intake are clean from any corrosion probabley due to water entered into the system thus seizing the valves and piston.
If all is clean and ok, thn the engine may have to be dismantled to check the siezure, could be at the crankshaft or the cylinders at the piston.
Not a bad idea if you first remove the starter motor thn tryto push it with any gear selected .

seems like a bad earth, check battery connectors, and any earth straps between engine and frame and also the connectors from each of the indicator wiring into the harness.
