First you have to remove the bags, then the brackets for the bags,
then the piece of chrome trim, then the seat. The brackets holding the trunk , is attached at the rear of the seat and has 4 bolts under the seat as well.This has to be removed to take the trunk out.------
There are only four screws holding the trunk itself on its
base. --------
And there
are only 2 allen key bolts holding down front seat and 4 bolts holding down
back. When they are taken off seats came off pretty easy.You
may need to remove bags and chrome side piece to get at bolts for back seat.------
The procedure goes this way:---You have to remove at least 3 of the 4 inner saddlebag bolts. Watch for the aluminum spacers on the frame side. Then the chrome bracket covers, then the actual 4 seat bolts.--------
