I would be checking for gunk in the main jet tat has come from the tank since starting indications are from wide open throttle just to keep it at idle

Yer try wiring under seat also I had same problem but mine was throwing flames out losing power n not fire on all cylinders also damp off rain had gt in but found wires that weren't soldered just taped runs ok now soldered them properly

NO... remove the seat, then the gas tank. They can be tricky to get to and you need a socket extender but you get to them from the top. Use pre spaced fuses to make your life easier. Also apply a little motor oil on the threaded area before replacing them. Makes removing them a lot easier the next time.I recommend doing an oil change at the same time.

Go to the parts store and buy you a battery hydrometer, they are cheap, about 5 bucks. You can test the health of your battery with it. Just because it shows a full charge does not mean it has full power, the amperage it needs, your charger is only reading voltage. To test the charging system you will need a voltage meter...with engine running at 3500 RPM you should have at least 13.5vdc at the battery...

If your Charging system isn't working properly it won't. Take a Multi Meter. Take the Leads to your battery. Start the Bike and run it up to 2k or higher rpm. The Voltage should increase the higher your rpms get. Up to 14vdc or about. If it doesn't go up then something in your charging system is acting up. Stator, Regulator something of that nature

Gummy gas is in your carburetor. Change the fuel. Try a squirt of carburetor cleaner in the fuel line and a treatment of fuel system cleaner like Chrevron Techron. You may be able to clean it up with out disassembling the carburetor.

I would be checking the charge voltage the alternator is generating at the battery terminals. . Lift the engine revs to 3-4000 rpm, if it exceeds 14.5 volts or so with the headlight on, then it is overcharging and will need further investigation. Replacement of the regulator module may be a good move here. There is not much else that will allow the battery to be overcharged, and it sure sounds like it is in this case from your symptoms. You need 3 things for an engine to run; spark, fuel and compression. How is the compression? Is the spark plug new? If the plug is old, it could give a nice spark when you check it but have no spark under compression. Make sure the fuel you're using is fresh. If you give it a small shot of starting fluid and it fires up, your fuel delivery is suspect. In that case, you will need to remove the carb an THOROUGHLY clean it paying close attention to jets and passages. I always give people this warning: when cleaning jets and passages, NEVER use steel instruments. Use wood, copper wire or other materials that are softer than the material you're working on or you run the risk of ruining jets or even the entire carburetor.

check the clutch cable if its working... dismantle the body engine cover where the edge is connected,check if it is working...

Hi, use your key to open the side panel. You have to unscrew both battery posts in place, then slide the battery out. Don't loose the nuts that the battery screws screw into. Once the battery is charged, you need to put the nuts in place inside the terminals and carefully slide the battery in without disturbing the nuts. Then the screws will go into the nuts for tightening. Always loosen the negative cable first and replace it last to minimize the chance of shorting the positive to ground when attaching the positive cable. Please let me know if you have more questions. Yes it may but as a first course of action I strongly suggest that you replace the fuel filter. It can be clogged causing fuel supply irregularities. If it still doesn't help then replace the fuel pump and you'll be good.
