Motion Pro offers a tool that is half the price of the one KTM offers, that will do the job. I got mine at Bikebandit.com after searching all over for months trying to find a cheap alternative to removing the spark plug from my 2007 KTM 250 SXF.

I don't think is special size should be standard mm in size but of course you will need a deep socket one (long one) to get down inside the head to reach it

this is usually because of a few things,,,check,,,, and maybe change your plug,,,check gap,,,,adjust your carb,... it sounds like it is way to rich,,,,,lean it out a little,,,,,,and the worse problem,,,,,your rings on the piston may be getting worn,,,,and allowing oil to seep by,,,thus,,going into your airbox,,,,,,and combustion chamber,,,,, then blue smoke,,,,, take a compression check if all else fails,,,,,,, this will tell you if your rings are bad,,,,,, JOEL

ProClean is good stuff but not worth the money. The only reason I had it was because I won a create of it at our clubs Supercross race it's too expensive in my opinion. I buy 40 litre containers of stuff called TFR which stands for Traffic Film Remover, it basically is a detergent like ProClean, Simple Green and all the others, only it costs a fraction of the price and isn't deluted. This means you can delute it to your own strength for different causes. You can see it removing dirt as you watch, like someone said above. You can not use it pure on the bike however, it will make alloy parts go dull - as my buddy found out lol. ,,,

cam dots or lines should face them self on top dead center of compression stoke the lines should be one at 9 oclock one should be at 3 oclock

he always over-heats his 450. Everytime he pulls off the track he has little to no coolant left. He's tried to mess with the carburator but unfortunatly that is not fixing the problem. I'm not sure if he's tried the water wetter yet, but I know he's been thinking about it. Anybody else have any suggestions on how to keep this bike cooled down while riding? It's gotta be a pain in the ass to fill the radiators with coolant everytime you pull off the track...,Adjusting the carb will not solve the problem. It has to be leaking out someplace obviously. Could be a head gasket, could be a bad thermostat or it could be leaking. How hard is he riding it. Also maybe he should try flushing his system out good and trying Engine Ice. Also he could try leaving the Rad cap on the setting where it is slightly off to help release pressure.,,,

Thanks for contacting FixYa with your inquiry. More that likely this is an electrical problem caused by a shorting event. The usual culprit is the kill button. If you turn just right it shorts, if you hit the right sequence of whoop de do's something on the triple clamps pulls tension on the wire. Temporarily disconnect the wire from the kill button and go for a rip and try to duplicate the problem.

Second possiblility is the coil wire or wire to the kill button getting pinched by the tank, radiator, or even the exhaust pipe bracket shorting the bike out and killing the engine. If you've had the tank off receintly you may have disturned some of the wiring allowing it to get pinched.

Trace all electrical back to the source and tape any breaks or places where rubbing may have occured. Use wire ties to relocate and keep all wiring from future possiblily of shorting out engine.

With a small brush, loosen off any sludge in the reservoir that you can get to. Extract as much fluid as you can from the reservoirs and refill with fresh fluid. Bleed the brakes in the normal manner until completely fresh and clean fluid only comes out of the bleeder pipe. Keep a close watch on the fluid level in the reservoir so that you do not introduce air into the brake systems and have to re-bleed them.
