Head tension

The torque settings are governed by the bolt size, bike manufacturers simply follow those same equations.

http://www.engineersedge.com/torque_table_sae_ftlbs.htm

The above site will give you the figures.

Or alternatively, an owner's manual which has the figures can usually be purchased very cheaply from a big box near the sales counter of most bike wreckers. The size code is stamped on original manufacturers bolt heads.
Cheers.

Loncin LX110 st

My friend, if this motorcycle goes faster in reverse than forward, this is truely an odditity. You must be running really, really fast.

If we are talking about the Honda (as in the heading of your question) the CB-100 is a small motorcycle with a small engine. Not only that, but this model is now more than 30 years old. Honda makes a great engine, no matter the size. And now, after more than 30 years, you have one that runs, is a tribute to Honda!

I had a 1972 CB-100 ... , I was able to break all speed limits in the state where I lived at the time with my motorcycle. My CB-100 did not (and I don't think yours does either) have a reverse gear.

I am not familiar with the Lincoln LX110 s, your sub heading. A search in Google didn't show me any motorcycle listings. If the Lincoln LX110 st is what we are talking about, please give more informaiton.

My 1970 Honda CT70 only runs when the gas in is

It sounds like the normal gas supply tube is stopped up. You could remove the gas valve from the tank and clean it, or you could just leave the setting on reserve all the time. If you are hesitant about removing the valve you could try applying air pressure to the gas supply line to blow the obstruction into the tank, but removing the valve is best. If you still have problems let me know and I will look at my old CT70 for more ideas. The way the valve works is that it has two lnlets, one at the very bottom of the tank for the reserve setting and the other a little higher up, so that it will quit taking in gas while there is still some left while on that setting. A problem like yours may indicate that you have rust or sediment in your tank.

On my engine the first

It could be the lifters. If the knocking goes away shortly after you start the engine. It also could be a rod bearing getting very worn. If the sound is a knocking sound then it is more than likely a rod bearing. If it is ticking sound then it is probably the lifters.

What is the simplest way

The simplest way is to change the stock front sprocket for a larger one. Assuming the stock sprocket has 12 teeth, go to a 13 or 14 tooth sprocket. This will give a higher top end speed but will slow the bike on acceleration off the line. Simple and low cost.
