What Tire Brand used when new?

Factories, don't always stay with one brand. As soon as a tire firm can deliver the quality he car or motor factory needs, de order the tires they can get when the price is good. Ask your Kawasaki dealer, what a good tire is for your motor. Trust him.

Push starter button and starter

When you push the starter button you should hear a click , so you know the button is working.Follow the positive battery cable to the starter solenoid. Disconnect the two wires that activate the solenoid, test the two wires from the harness make sure the needle on your voltage meter jumps when you push the starter button, this means the button is good. Take a wire and jump the two posts on the solenoid or touch the two cables together. If your starter works, then you need a new solenoid. If you hold the starter button and tap on the starter with a plastic hammer and the starter works you need new starter brushes. Anything else wrong with the starter and you need to replace the starter assembly , the manufacturer does not make replacement parts for the starter. If the starter is spinning but the motor is not turning over then you have a problem with the one way clutch inside the motor. On the flywheel is a one-way clutch. It matches to a large starter gear that turns the motor over. If the smooth surface on the large starter gear has become chattered/no longer smooth the you will need to replace it and the three rollers in the starter clutch to make the starter grab and turn over the motor.

How do i change the

The alternator on your bike is not external. What you will probably end up changing is the rotor if the magnets are bad, or the stator, or both. The stator is the stationary piece that the magnets circle. The set up can either be a rotor centered within a stator or a rotor that looks like a flywheel with the stator under it. In either case, you will need to perform some disassembly and I would recommend you get hold of a service manual to ensure it's done correctly. I would also recommend that you troubleshoot the electrical system extensively (fuses, continuity, grounds, connectors) before assuming the alternator is bad.

When I put the key

That's what the clutch switch does. It bypasses the neutral switch to allow you to start it.-------- Faulty neutral safety switch. But it starts when clutch is held down. This by passes the neutral safety switch. ---------------- Also check the kickstand is completely down.If the lick stand is not down, then it will not let your bike to get in neutral and start.----------- -------------- If bike only starts in neutral then its faulty clutch switch. But in your case its vice-verse, it will not go in neutral. so its neutral safety switch issue or the kick stand is not down.------- Also clean the switch by spraying wd-40 on it and check. In some cases the switch is not bad just get dirty and this occurs.Get all the switch cleaned, the neutral safety switch, the kick stand switch, the clutch switch, the starter switch, the kill switch etc etc.--------- Then see, it will help. But if problem is same then replace neutral safety switch.------ Check out this will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

I have a 2002 Kawasaki Mean Streak 1500 I'm customizing it can the rectifier be moved so it's not just hanging there.

Absolutely, the rectifier on your Kawasaki Mean Streak 1500 can be repositioned during a customization project. The rectifier is a crucial part of the motorcycle's electrical system, converting alternating current (AC) from the stator into direct current (DC) to charge the battery and power the bike's electrical components. While relocating the rectifier, it's important to consider a few key factors:
  1. Space and Mounting: Assess the available space on the motorcycle to find a suitable location for the rectifier. Ensure that the new position allows for proper mounting and secure attachment without interfering with other components or the bike's functionality.
  2. Heat Dissipation: The rectifier generates heat during operation, so it's essential to relocate it to an area with adequate airflow for cooling. Mounting it in a well-ventilated area helps prevent overheating issues.
  3. Wiring and Connections: When moving the rectifier, ensure that the wiring can be appropriately rerouted to reach its new location. Take care to maintain proper electrical connections and ensure a secure, stable wiring setup.
  4. Protection: Consider adding protective measures, such as shields or guards, to safeguard the relocated rectifier from road debris, water, or other potential hazards.
Modifying the placement of the rectifier may require custom brackets, mounts, or fabrication work to secure it in the desired location. It's crucial to execute the relocation carefully, maintaining proper electrical connections and ensuring the rectifier's safety and functionality. If you're not confident in performing these modifications yourself, consulting a professional motorcycle mechanic or technician with experience in customizations can be highly beneficial. They can offer guidance, expertise, and ensure that the modifications are carried out safely and effectively.

Looking replacement batteries for kawasaki 21.6 volt batteries part # 691221

eBay is the only place and there is only one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/266382749570 Or direct from China https://power-tool-batteries.en.made-in-china.com/product/tqRnSCOglNhK/China-Kawasaki-Power-Tool-Batteries-21-6V-Replacement.html Or you can open it up and solder in the individual NiCad cells. Better to replace with NiMH. This is probably why they don't exist, RECALL on the charger. https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2007/alltrade-tools-recalls-power-tool-battery-chargers-due-to-burn-and-laceration-hazards ..

I have a 2002 Kawasaki Mean Streak 1500 can't find the fuse for the break light can anyone help

I'm assuming you have already checked the actual bulb is still OK? The bike uses a 'twin element' bulb so the tail light element might still work but the brake light element has blown. It's designed to be two bulbs in one so it takes up less space. On a lot of vehicles some electrical features share a fuse and only some of them are marked on the fuse box lid. Has anything else stopped working? On some Kawasaki bikes the brake light shares a fuse with the horn and the tail light so if the fuse has blown all three won't be working. Check the fuse labelled as the Horn to see if that has 'Popped'.*NOTE* ONLY replace fuses with one of the SAME Amp rating as lower 'A' fuses will blow and higher 'A' fuses won't protect your electrics.Bulbs and fuses are usually cheap to buy so you could replace them anyway before thinking it's going to be a 'Big' repair.

I have a zzr 600 zzr kawasaki and all at once it quit firing could you please help?

If your Kawasaki ZZR600 suddenly stopped firing, there are several possible reasons for this. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to identify and resolve the issue:
  1. Check the battery: A weak or dead battery can prevent the engine from starting. Make sure the battery is fully charged and has a voltage of at least 12.5 volts.
  2. Check the spark plugs: The spark plugs may be fouled, worn out, or damaged. Remove the spark plugs and inspect them for signs of wear or damage. If necessary, replace the spark plugs.
  3. Check the ignition system: The ignition coils, ignition module, and wiring may be faulty. Use a multimeter to test the resistance of the coils and check the wiring for continuity. Replace any faulty components as needed.
  4. Check the fuel system: The fuel filter may be clogged, the fuel pump may be faulty, or there may be a problem with the fuel injectors. Check the fuel pressure and flow, and inspect the fuel filter and injectors for any signs of clogging or damage.
  5. Check the carburetor (if applicable): If your ZZR600 has a carburetor, it may be dirty or clogged. Remove the carburetor and clean it thoroughly with carburetor cleaner.
  6. Check the camshaft timing: If the camshaft timing is off, the engine may not fire properly. Check the timing marks and adjust the camshaft if necessary.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to take your ZZR600 to a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.

2000 kawasaki kdx 220r engie oil is coming out of a over flow hose on the carb when running

There could be several reasons why oil is coming out of the overflow hose on your Kawasaki KDX 220R. Some possible causes include:
  1. Overfilled oil tank: If the oil tank is overfilled, oil can get forced out of the overflow hose when the engine is running.
  2. Worn or damaged oil seals: If the oil seals in the engine or transmission are worn or damaged, oil can leak out of the engine and into the carburetor, where it can then be forced out of the overflow hose.
  3. Clogged or damaged oil cooler: If the oil cooler is clogged or damaged, it can cause excess oil to build up in the engine, which can then be forced out of the overflow hose.
It's important to identify and address the cause of the oil leak as soon as possible, as running the engine with excessive oil can cause serious damage. I recommend taking your bike to a mechanic for a thorough inspection and repair.
