If you ran it out of oil, chances are you're gonna need more than just rings. Good chance you will be rebuilding or replacing the motor.

sounds like a carburation problem to me
(1)
may be your choke is not switching off when you push the lever
and is seized where it joins the carburetor
get some light oil and lubricate the cable and take the choke mechs apart and clean it up then reassemble
(2)
cracked inlet manifold carburetor (connecting pipe)
it sounds like a damaged air filter or a cracked inlet manifold

if it is a cracked manifold
a quick get you home trick is to remove your carburetors
get 4 condoms put the condoms over the inlet manifold
cut holes in the end to refit your carbs
reassemble the bike
to get you home on the way home call in at your local motorcycle spares shop and order some new inlet manifolds

order a new air filter while you are there as well

hope this helps out

ride safe

I think you can go to the dealer with the vin and they can get you one. Step 2 would be a locksmith

Try a simple fix first; turn off the gas then remove the drain screw at the bottom of the carb. Now give the side of the float bowl some solid taps with the handle of a screwdriver. Put the screw back in place and turn the gas back on. The goal was to jar the float loose. If that doesn't work, remove the float bowl and spray carb cleaner at the float mounting pin while gently lifting the float up and down. The goal is to free up the float. There is also the possibility that the float has gone bad and has filled with fuel. The float would need to be replaced if that has happened. Please rate my answer. Thanks! tombones49_21.gif

Hi, if you don't want to take the carb open and clean it, you can try tapping on the float bowl with a small hammer to reseat the valve. If it happens often, it is best to rebuild the carb.

Could be that you need to go up one jet size.
When choking a motor, your richening the mixture with more fuel, less air.
So if you must choke it, you must need more fuel.

As for electrical. some bikes have a rev limiter when you hold the throttle wide open You may be reaching the rev limit.
A rev limiter with turn the power on/off the coil superfast, keeping the rmp at a maximum factory setting, and the motor breaks up at full throttle.
Some cdi's have and adjustment that you can set your own rev limit, or you can buy a cdi with no rev limit.
Hope this helps

For temperatures 50 degrees fahrenheit or less, use 4 stroke motorcycle oil 10w-30. For temps 50 and above use 10w-40. Pro Honda GN4, Honda 4-stroke Oil, or other equivalent motorcycle oils. Capacity is about 1 quart.

If the carburetor slow jet is clear than the blockage is in the carburetor body. Take the carburetor off and shoot carburetor cleaner through the body of the carburetor till it comes out the noozzle/hole in the throat of the carburetor.

Well have you checked the throttle cable connection, are they tight or you have some free play? Ensure your throttle return spring is correctly pulling the throttle back .
Your problem is mainly a stuck cable.

The carb is overflowing either because the needle valve is leaking or the float is B/O or not adjusted properly
