Yamaha majesty 400 problem
First thing you should do is pull your spark plug and scrutinize it carefully. this can tell you a lot about how your engine is running and give you troubleshooting ideas of where to look from there. It may be a very simple fuel issue, it may be restriction of exhaust flow, or air intake, it may be an electrical problem. pull your plug and look closely. Start the engine, rev it a bit and allow it to warm up. Then shut it down and pull your plug after letting it cool a bit. Note whether it is fouled and full of carbon, if the electrodes appear to be bridged, is there excessive gap, does it appear to be soaked in fuel, does it look crusty and dry as though it's been baked? If all appears well, clean it up, readjust gap if necessary and re-install to proper torque specs. Then clean or replace your air filter if you haven't done so already. Disconnect your exhaust if you can and attempt to clean it out. if there is a lot of fouling and carbonization, this can restrict your exhaust which starves the engine of fresh oxygen to allow for proper combustion. finally, attempt to adjust the air screw on the carburator limiting your air intake (since it seems to be running lean / restricted fuel) Failing all that, disconnect your throttle cable from the carb, (the problem may be here)Take out your carb and thoroughly clean it, paying close attention to the jet nozzle and all orifices. Replace and try again. if this doesn't fix your problem, it is likely electrical. Start with the ignition coil and work backwards. Spark plug first, then ignition coil, then CDI and finally magneto/stator/generator. An ohm meter to check resistance and voltage will come in handy here. Hopefully it's simply a problem with restricted fuel. Electrical problems are a beast.
