[Edit]

Tips on how to prevent the dryer cord and terminal block from burning out.
Steps
1. The cause of the dryer cord wires and the terminal block for burning out are, loose wires connections.
2. When you buy a new dryer, most of the times you will need to install the cord yourself.
3. If you don?t tighten the connection on the terminal block properly, the wires will start to get hot.
4. Every time that you use the dryer, the wires will get hot and the insulation on the wires will begin to melt, exposing the bare wires.
5. The more you use the dryer, the more damage you cause to the wires and the terminal block.
6. When you install a dryer cord, make sure that all the connections are clean and tight, and you will never face a problem like the one on this picture:
7. It costs $120 to replace the cord and terminal block.
8. This problem could have been prevented by tightening the connections properly, like in this picture:
Warnings
1. Make sure that the dryer is disconnected from the wall outlet before doing any repairs on it. Electric dryers work on 240 volts AC and this could hurt or even kill you.
2. You don't have to fear electricity, you just need to have some knowledge on electrical safety and a lot of respect for it.
