Xbox Live: Creating an Xbox Live Profile

To create an Xbox LIVE enabled gamer profile from your Xbox 360 console, follow these steps: 1. Make sure that the Internet connection is correctly configured on the Xbox 360 console. If you are signed in to a gamer profile, move to the Xbox Live section of the Xbox Dashboard, and then select the Yes, Sign out option. 3. In the Xbox Live section, select the Join Xbox Live option, and then press the A button. 4. Press the A button again. 5. Follow the directions on the screen.

You are prompted to provide information and select preferences for the following items during the account creation process: • Gamer picture
Select the image to associate with the gamer profile. • Xbox Live Gamer Zone
Select one of the following zones that matches the style of gameplay that you prefer: • Pro • Recreation • Family • Underground • Information sharing with Microsoft • Information sharing with third-parties • Membership type
Select a Silver or Gold Xbox Live membership. • Payment instrument
If you have a paid membership, the instrument may be a credit card, Microsoft Points, or a subscription code number.You can start creating a gamer profile in several ways: • During the initial setup of the Xbox 360 console, select the Create New Profile option.

Note You can also run setup from the System section of the Xbox Dashboard. • In the Games section of the Xbox Dashboard, select the Create New Profile option. • In the Xbox Live section of the Xbox Dashboard, select the Create New Profile option.

Note If you are signed in to an existing gamer profile, press the X button, sign out of the current gamer profile, and then select the Create New Profile option. • In the Xbox Guide, select the Create New Profile option when you are not signed in to an existing gamer profile. • Create a gamer profile on the Xbox.com Web site.
