Xbox 360: Setting up Xbox Live

To setup Xbox Live on your Xbox 360, follow the steps shown below:

1. Get access to High-Speed Internet Service (DSL or Cable): Xbox Live Compatible ISPs
2. Connect to your home network, for instructions, visit: Home Networking
3. Once you are connected to Xbox Live follow these steps to create your profile from your console:
  • In the Xbox Live section, select Join Xbox Live, and then press the A button.
  • Press the A button again.
  • Follow the directions on the screen.
  • Select a membership (only a Gold account will allow you to play other gamers)
    • Tips for creating a new profile:
    - When creating a Windows Live ID, use an email address that you commonly use
    - Record your email address, gamertag and password for future reference
    - You can only associate one email address with one Windows Live ID
