This is a very serious problem, VERY DANGEROUS!
Check ALL rod-end bearings. Particularly the one on steering box.

I own a suzuki samurai and it will not turn to the right. will turn slightly but not as sharp as it should. also, the front wheels do not move when the car is in 4 wheel drive and i have it up off the...

If it has been lifted the Pitman arm needs to be adjusted to recenter the steering.

With the engine off, the trans in gear and the transfer case in 4 Hi or Low you should not be able to rotate the front drive shaft. If this is the case it sounds like a hub problem. Make sure the hubs are engaged. If so the hubs could be rusted and need cleaning to work freely.

Samurai engine swap

It will fit if you:

1. Use an adaptor for the new front wheel engine and the original transmission of your suzuki ( ask your machinist)
2. Have your propeller shaft from the transmission to the independent transfer case resized depending on the outcome of your engine mount.
3. adjust the bracket of your transfer case if you need more room for the propeller.(optional)
4. you dont need to change gear ratio if you plan to use the same tires
