Just shuts off...problem continues

Ok I replaced the iginition switch and the car STILL just shuts off while driving.
The car drives just fine for 5 or 10 mins. then will shut off. Most of the time it will fire right back up. Yesterday it took sitting for three or four mins . The engine turned over, but it would not start. After a few started right up. Anyone have another suggestion????

Worn ignition switch. If you have a lot of keys on your keychain try taking the ignition key off the keychain and see if the car continues to do this. If so replace the ignition switch as the detente are worn out.

Fan wont shut off while driving

The fan is driven by a temperature control switch, and when the switch is faulty, then the fan will continually run, so if you replace the switch, then you should be fine.

My car seems like it's not getting any gas! But when it loses power, it still stays started! When I shut it off and turn it back on, it seems fine until I go! It'll let me drive for about 5 minutes and...

It sounds like you have a fuel delivery issue. I would replace all of the fuel filters. Usually when you have a clogged fuel filter the car will idle fine and may drive ok at part throttle, but when you call for more power it will buck and stall out.

I have a 1988 honda civic it shuts down while Im driving. It will start up again after a few minutes. I replaced the fuel pump but the problem is still on going. please help me

Sounds like your fuel pump relay is going bad. On most honda models this is located under the dash on the driver's side of the car. If the relay is okay, then the next step would be to replace the iginition switch. On my 1988 Honda it would not start up after I shut it off and went into the store and came back out. My brother's Honda would just shut down when turning a corner or changing lanes. After changing his fuel pump and fuel filter, we changed the ignition switch and that solved the problem. If I were you I would change the ignition switch.

I have a 1999 civic ex auto. when i first start the car and drive it run fine for about 5 mins then the car slows down and wont accelerate at all. from a dead stop it take about 10 sec to get up to 20 mph....

try moving the shifter to first and then second gear, until you get to drive. if one fails to switch then it can be a transmision problem. when that happens also try shutting of the car and restarting it and see if it continues to do the same thing. this might be because the trans is warm and does not shift properly, also the result being you need a knew trasnmision.
