NEED to change daytime running lights - 2007 Chevrolet Suburban Three-Quarter-Ton LS

  • Anonymous Aug 04, 2011

This would work if the vehicle was a 2006 or earlier. As well our vehicle is a Suburban 2007 Half-Ton - 1500 LS. Do you have any other suggestions for this type of vehicle?

YOU NEED TO RAISE THE HOOD,YOU HAVE TO REMOVE HEADLIGHT HOUSING BY TWISTING THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING MOUNTING RODS OUT OF THEIR CLIPS AND PULL UP THEM STRAIGHT UP TO DISENGAGE THE HOUSING FROM VECHICLE. WITH HEADLIGHT HOUSING OUT VECHICLE REMOVE LIGHT BULBS, YOU NEED TO WEAR CLEAR PAIR OF LATEX GLOVES WHEN HANDLING NEW HEADLIGHT BULBS BECAUSE HEADLIGHT BULBS ARE HALOGEN BULBS OILS FROM FINGERS OR HANDS CAN CAUSE HALOGEN BULBS OVERHEAT AND BLOW OUT.HALOGEN BULBS VERY EXPENSIVE THEY COST FROM $10.00 UP TO $20.00 OR MORE SO WHERE CLEAN GLOVES WHEN HANDLING BULBS.

HEADLIGHT HOUSING IN NEW CHEVY MODELS HAS A SCREW ON TOP OF HEADLIGHT HOUSING ON ONE SIDE YOU FIRST REMOVE THEN THERE IS A LONG PLASTIC RETAINER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF HOUSING YOU PULL UP AND REMOVE THEN HEADLIGHT BULB HOUSING CAN BE REMOVED.IF THIS DONT HELP LOOK IN OWNERS MANUAL IN GLOVE COMPARTMENT LOOK IN BACK INDEX OF MANUAL.LOOK UP BULB REPLACEMENT IT WILL SHOW AND TELL YOU HOW TO REMOVE AND REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB.

Where is the fuse located for the daytime running lights on a 2005 Chev Siveraado?

It is located in the underhood fuse/relay box , marked DRL 10 amp fuse ! Also if that is good check the DRL relay in the same fuse/relay box .Your light sensor could also be bad .
The daytime running lamps (DRL) will operate when the ignition switch is in the RUN position, for automatic transmissions (A/T), the gear selector is not in the PARK position, the headlamp switch is in the AUTO position, and for manual transmissions (M/T), the park brake is released. When these conditions have been met and the ambient light sensor indicates daytime conditions, the DRL will illuminate. The ambient light sensor is a light sensitive transistor that varies its voltage signal to the body control module (BCM) in response to changes to the outside (ambient) light level. When the BCM receives this signal it will either turn on the DRL or the headlamps for auto headlamp operation. Any function or condition that turns on the headlights will cancel the daytime running lamps operation. The DRL can be manually turned OFF by depressing the AHL/DRL switch in the headlamp switch
Do you know that on inside of fuse box lid it shows what fuse is what .

Daytime running lights and blinkers do not work

the lights are controlled by a module, it is the DRL module, replace it. also try this
On the inside of the car next to the light switch there is your dome light button. GM made it to where you could turn off the daytime running lights by pushing it three times in and out. Turn the vehicle on then do this. Your daytime running lights should work after this.

Daytime running lights don't come on 96 chevy 1500 not switch at parking brake or fuse

I had this issue with my 1999 C1500.  I had to jump my truck a couple of times, because I left the inside light on and I found when I did this my daytime running lights worked briefly.  I wondered why, but didn't give it much thought.  I had to replace my battery a couple of months ago and my daytime running lights started working all the time.  Even though my battery would start my vehicle, run the interior components, etc., it didn't have enough voltage for the daytime lights.  Check your battery voltage under a load, see if it helps.
