Any symptoms?  Such as a clicking or groaning sound when you try to start it? And, which 'gauge light' is on?
If you have any kind of multimeter (they are very cheap) you should have someone turn the key while you watch the meter monitoring the battery voltage first on the posts, then on the clamps attached to it. The battery may be OK but there may be oxidation insulating the clamps from the posts and this will show up as one voltage at the posts and another, much lower, on the clamps themselves.
If it is the clamps, a cheap battery terminal brush from an auto parts store will clean both the posts and the inside of the clamps.

94 grand cherokee cutsoff going down the road then won't start until it sets for a while

When it won't start someone will need to find out if you are dealing with a no-spark or no-fuel problem to proceed.
If the check engine light is on you should get the computer scanned for trouble codes.

2001 jeep grand cherokee, pulled dash out to change blender doors, put it back together, now shows gas gauge empty, and lights up, and key with circle cross on, won't start.

You will need to remove the cluster and make sure you plugged in all the connector to the cluster, the antitheft system runs throught the cluster also and you said fuel gauge doesnt work so i would have to say theres a bad connection or you forgot to plug a connector in. good day.

I own a 2001 jeep cherokee laredo. when i start off it will shut off while driving, but starts right backup will do this two or three times then runs fine after that. acts like it stops getting power all...

Chrysler products are notorious for the crankshaft sensor going out and causing the symptoms you are describing. It also won't set a code to turn the check engine light on.

My 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee intermitently misses, the gauges go crazy and bounce around. No check engine light comes on. I had it checked for codes anyway, all passed. I changed the plugs, same results....

sounds like a ground problem. Or a short. I would get a helper and have them sit in truck and watch gauges and things and i would get under the hood and wiggle every wire i could untill i found the loose one.

My check gauge light came on and next day 1996 jeep grand cherokee would crank but didn't start.

I know this is the obvious question, does it have fuel? Usually Check Gauges is for Low Fuel, Low Oil Pressure , and such. Hope this helps

Does it turn over? If not, try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it. This has worked for my Jeep before.
