Ford help I have a Ford Windstar 2001 and for a fews days now I am experience problem going up hill and heavy noise why try to gas .

I think ( if it is a manual gearbox) your clutch has gone OR ( if it is an automatic ) the connecting plate between flywheel and gearbox is broken...

Making sure that you have the right component will help, but should be a relatively easy repair. There are only a few bolts on the starter and you should be able to remove it with a basic wrench and socket set. When you pull the part off check the gear on it to see if it is worn. This may be the problem. Usually, if it is the starter, though it will make a loud grinding noise. Kinda sounds like a high pitched impact gun. Replace the component making sure that you wire it exactly like the one you remove. Take a picture if necessary.

2001 ford windstar makes a "pinging" noise when taking off

pinging noise low octane. mix gasoline half and half.half 87 and half it severals days if it still ping have it scan to check detonation sensor.a bad detonation sensor will also make car ping alot.

Check engine light comes on and code says it is a fuel air mixture problem

my 2001 Ford Windstar blows smoke and heavy drops of oil out the exaust, and usually only does it when it is cold and you first start it. The oil level in the crank case runs all out in two days and have to add four quarts of oil. What do you think the problem is?
