  1. while going up a fairly steep grade on a toll road, I switched the airconditioner off to save power, when I turned it back to airconditioner al I get now is hot air. I checked all the fuses they seem fine. I dont se any broken belts. what could cause the failure?

It could be frozeup or blew an outlet valve have some one check coolant levl for the a/c

What could be causing the noise we hear when reaching 40 MPH on our 1999 Mercury Mountaineer, it sounds like when you are reaching a toll booth and the speed strips on the road warn you to slow down.


Sounds Like an Axle going bad or an axle Bearing, Where is the Noise ?
Front or Rear?
More noise on turns? or graded pavements?
IE:on ramps for highway/expressways?

I have a 2006 mercury mariner and the reverse lights do not come on, new bulbs were put in , fuse look good


there is a reverse switch that semds the voltage to the back up lights,, yours is either stuck, or bad.

There is two different Flasher Relay's for the 2006 Mariner.

With Towing Package: Part # YL8Z13350AA or SF620 (Around $45 online)
Without Towing Package: Part # YL8Z13350BA or SF621 (Around $60 Online)

It may be a leaky injector. The injector is connected to the bank. 1 of 2 fuel rails.

Located on passenger side. Tou need to look under the dash then turn to look under the console. You will see a black box PAT unit around 8 or 10 inches long with fairly large numbers printed on its side. These are the 5 numbers you will need

they are hard to take off sometimes, you are doing it right just keep willing it it will come off, there is 2 gromits that hold it into place might have a little dirt into the plunger.
