Hi kiia007,
A cat hanger is a place where you would hang your cat, if the animal was expected to misbehave....A cat hanger in a vehicle, would obviously be used for a moving cat, especially one that refused to wear the seat belt....In a vehicle, the most likely use of a cat hanger, would be to keep the cat from clawing the air bags....(which may be dangerous in the event of an accident)....

To answer the question regarding the interior door release.....remove the door panel.....remove the covers which hide the fixing screws mounted at three places around the arm rests....Place a flat stiff blade or large flat screw driver between the door and the panel and gently prize open the clips, which hold the panel onto the door....once all the clips around the door have been loosened, the panel can then be pulled away from the lower part of the door. Don't pull too far out, but enough to be able to lift the panel swinging it slowly upwards from the trailing edge.....You will then have clear access, to work on the interior door release....It is also possible to get doggy seats (in case they become jealous while your driving around with the cats).....

All the best.....Maybe it coat hangers....ah, but your going to make the cats and dogs so upset if you don't take them with you....

Best regards Johngee10

2008 ford fusion driver side door will not open from the inside

You will need to remove the door handle, but you may have to pull the door trim plate first. Pull the handle assembly outward and inspect it to make sure the inner door connector rods are attached. These are held in place with plastic pieces, and plastic parts on the door handle. Replace the handle if the rod loop is broken. Replace the door rod ends with new hardware. This can all be done in your driveway, and requires very little mechanical knowledge or skills.

Uninden uho65sx keylock off

you have 2 options or a) call locksmith b) follow the steps mentioned.
Instructions
    • 1 Unwind the metal coat hanger so it's straight. Bend the end of the hanger so the tip resembles a hook.
    • 2 Slide the hooked end of the hanger between the window and the door frame right in front of the side of the door handle that is closest to the side mirror. Push the hanger down 1 1/2 feet and make sure the hook is facing you.

    • 3 Pull up and down on the coat hanger until the hook grabs the metal lock arm. The door lock handle will start to move once the hook has grabbed it. Pull up on the coat hanger until the door lock releases, then open the door.

Hello, i am having a problem with my 1998 two door honda civic dx. My drivers side door will not open from either inside or out, and the passenger door will not open from the outside. I need help getting...

unfortunately, the drivers side door panel will have to be broken. you have to unscrew all screws holding the door panel on, then pull really hard. pull it back and see if you can find an inner plate near the window that you can remove. this will grant you access to the rods and such. this is done from inside the car, and to get in if youre locked out, get a coat hanger, make a hook, and send it through the trim on the passenger side to pull the handle.

do the passenger side first. at least youll be able to enter your car. there are small plugs covering the screws. after all screws are undone, it will pop off. there are clips that secure it in place, and will probably need to be replaced when done due to them being brittle, old plastic. start removing the panel from the bottom. it will become very apparent how the panel comes off.

Need to remove door panel. How?

Door Panels - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

The many different design interiors make it impossible to list each fastener location. The trim panels that must be removed are held in place by screws and clips. These locations vary from model to model. After removal of all the fasteners that you are aware of, if the trim panel is still firmly attached, you probably missed a hidden fastener. If this happens, gently and carefully pry the area looking for the location that doesn't flex. The location that does flex is where you'll find the fastener(s) you missed. Screws and retainers are usually hidden. Handle trim, reflectors, light lenses and other plastic pieces usually cover the main retaining screws. Take great care with the plastic trim panels. Plastic trim panels are usually very hard plastic and extremely easy to crack. The following steps can be used to guide you through the removal and installation of the trim panels, but you may need to alter these steps to your specific needs.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Pull the inside door handle to the open position, unfasten the screw and remove the handle escutcheon.
  3. If equipped with manual locks, remove door inside locking rod knob.
  4. If equipped with manual windows, insert a suitable window regulator handle removal tool behind the handle. Disengage the retainer, then remove the handle.
  5. If equipped with power windows and locks, use a small flat-bladed prytool to carefully pry the switch plate up, then detach the power component electrical connectors.
  6. If equipped, remove the screws inserted through door armrest and pull handle assembly into door inner panel or armrest hanger support bracket.
  7. Lift the seat belt trim panel up and remove the hidden retaining screws.
  8. Remove the outside side view mirror trim plate retaining screw. Lift the panel up to disengage the retaining clip, then remove the trim panel from the door.
  9. On styles with courtesy lamps located in the lower area of the trim panel, disconnect the wiring harness at the lamp assembly.
  10. If equipped, use a suitable tool to pry the reflector plate from the side of the door panel.Remove bottom trim cover retaining screws, then remove the lower trim cover.
  11. Remove any necessary electrical connector CPA clips, then unplug the electrical connectors.
  12. On styles with integral armrests, remove the screws inserted through the pull cup into the armrest hanger support.
  13. Unfasten the door trim panel retaining screws. The locations of the screws will vary depending upon the year of model of vehicle. The screws are usually hidden, so be sure to look carefully to make sure you don't miss any. After all of the trim panel retaining screws are removed, slide a suitable trim panel removal tool between the door panel and door perimeter to carefully disengage all of the trim panel retaining buttons. Make sure to position the tool close to the fastener, or the trim panel may be damaged.
  14. Carefully lift the trim panel away from the door, checking to be sure all of the retaining buttons and screws and electrical connectors are unfastened.

To install:

Before installing the door trim panel, check that all trim retainers are securely installed to the panel and are not damaged. Replace damaged retainers as required.
  1. Connect electrical components where present.
  2. To install the door trim panel, pull door inside handle inward; then position the trim panel to the inner panel, inserting the door handle through the panel hole.
  3. Position the trim panel to the door inner panel so that the trim retainers are aligned with the attaching holes in the panel, and tap the retainers into the holes with a clean rubber mallet. Install all previously removed items.
  4. Install the remaining door panel components in the reverse order of removal.
  5. After installation, connect the negative battery cable, then check for proper attachment and operation of electric components, if so equipped.

Hope helps (remember rated and comment this).

How do I fix a broken outer door handle on he drivers side?

Is there anything connecting the handle to the door latch assembly? Is the lock cylinder in the key hole and secured? It just sounds like the linkage may have slipped off the door handle

How do I remove the drivers side inner door panel.

Best thing to do is go to Auto Zone and buy some extra door panel clips, the old ones will most likely break and when you try to place the door panel back on you can't. The clips are not that expensive and Auto Zone can give you the step by step instructions and tell you what tools your going to need to remove the old clips with out damaging the door panel. If you don't want to buy the door panel tool, Auto Zone also has a tool loner program.
Good luck and hope this helps. If you need instructions, keep me posted and be glad to help.

  10. To remove the lower trim panel, remove the attaching screws along the upper edge of the lower trim panel. Then starting at a lower corner, insert a pry type tool between the door inner panel and the trim panel and disengage the retaining clips down both sides and across the bottom. On styles with courtesy lamps or reading lamps located in the trim panel, disconnect the wire harness at the lamp assembly.
  11. On styles with one piece trim panels, remove all the clips around the perimeter of the trim panel. Push the trim panel downward and outboard to disengage it from the door inner panel at the beltline. Disconnect any courtesy lamp wire harnesses, if so equipped and remove the trim panel from the door.
  12. Installation is the reverse of removal. On styles with adjustable trim supports at the beltline, the door trim panel can be adjusted in or out so as not to restrict door window operation.
