Re: 2004 Mitsubishi Galant window probem
Your going to have to remove the door panel. remove the screws and you will iencounter plastic pieces call christmas trees these are a pain but the sell a tool for these at an auto parts store for about 10 bucks. disconnect the plug if you have power windows, if you have manual windows there is a clip that holds the handle on the shaft. use a small screwdriver to remove this. now you can remove the panel awy from the door. this will allow access to the window regulater. you said it sounded like something is loose. check to see if the control arm is disconnected from the lower part of the window. hope this helps

If u switch the WiNDOW and u hear some buzzing inside the door, means the motor is still working!
Mostly the part easily get broken is the WiNDOW REGULATOR assembly!
You could buy and replace the regulator only w/o the motor!
Before putting a new regulator add some GREASE on the cable link and the plastic guide!
definatly no fuse try and swap the rear window swithes over and see if the other window works with that switch but my guess is that it is the regulator in the door not the motor ,that is the cablr that the motor wind up and down open the door cover and have a look at it
On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel
and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and
disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door
If the car is an 03 galant it is very simple to remove.
Remove the window crank if it is not Electric Window.
Remove the Screw that holds the "Open Door Handle" cover.
Remove the Screw that holds the "Pull Handle Pocket"
Remove both plastic covers.
Remove all 3 hidden crews that have a plastic cover over them.
One is toward the front of the door top and the other two are toward the rear of the door top and bottom side.
Carefully pry around the door trim panel to disengage it from th retaining clips, along the sides and bottom. If you have electric windows, disconnect the if from the door trim to access the speaker. Same procedure for both doors.
well i believe that the cable should be attached you should be able to go to auto parts store and get replacement clips of it. I want you to plug it in and check to see that the motor is running ok. keep me posted of the result.
