Any good auto parts store (or go online) will have different sizes and length brake lines. They won't have the exact factory line, you will have to use several different lengths with a junction (connector) between each length. They come in lengths of one foot up to about 5 feet, and yes, you should replace all lines if one has rusted through, as the others will fail soon. Check NAPA, Auto Zone, Advanced Auto Parts, JC Whitney, etc. countrycurt0

Braking results in grinding sound

I suggest you pull rear drums or have someone qualified look at rear brakes. it could of broke a spring or other brake hardware. I suggest stop driveing the car until you can inspect or have the brakes inspected..

Can i plug my rear brakes(rusty line leaking and stuck in the middle of no where). ive got about 200 km to get home. its a ford courier 4x4.

You will have frount breaks but not the best thing to do by blocking the rear off. You real should put a new line on and bleed the rear breaks. If for some unknow reason you got in an accident bad thing could come from blocking the break line.

Do ford windstar have drum rear brakes

Some do and some don't, it was optional. I would say that rear drum brakes are the most common. You can see the drums easily by just looking under the rear of the wheel.

Brakes have a mushy to floor response

usually an indicator of either a loss of pressure due to low fluid and/or air in the system (brake fluid leak) or extremely worn rear brakes (if drum brakes in rear). possible causes include master cylinder (internal fluid pressure leak), external fluid leaks (calipers, lines, wheel cylinders), rear drum brakes extremely worn down or severely out of adjustment. normally worn disc brakes may reduce pedal height SOME, but seldom "to floor". but the "mushy" quote combined with the "floor" quote suggests a hydrolic fluid pressure problem.

Have you had anyone try to clean and adjust the rear brakes? You will need a shop to scan the van for ABS codes first to cure the ABS light.

Bleeding brakes

No need to run the engine. Start the bleed procedure from the caliper farthest from the master cylinder, and work toward it. This means bleed the passenger rear first, then the driver rear, then passenger front, then driver front. Don't stop bleeding any caliper until you get three or so consecutive streams of air-free fluid through the bleeder. Monitor the level of fluid in the cylinder, and be sure the cap is on while bleeding - only open it to add additional fluid as needed.
