10amp fuse: Labeled: radio/air con.
Problem not having a good connection.
Solution: 1.change the fuse box.
or 2: insert a small screw between the fuse and the housing. The screw will push the fuse to one side causing it to have a good connection. I did this with my engine running and ac on to hear the compressor kick in. you may have to wiggle the fusse from side to side.

Heater not working in extreme cold weather because fan wont shut off. fan has been replace and the computer has been checked. nobody knows what is wrong

I'm making some assumptions, here.. I've been told I make too many assumptions... but, I'm assuming that you're talking about the engine cooling fan.. If I'm correct in this assumption, my guess is that you've not taken the vehicle to a good, reputable mechanic or repair shop. There are several reasons that an engine fan would not turn off, and each reason would have to come from a qualified mechanic. For example, there is a sending unit for the air conditioning system that might cause continuous running... or a sending unit in the air conditioning system that could cause the same thing. To complicate that issue, quite likely your air conditioning system purposely kicks on the engine fan any time you run your defroster. Also, your inside heater should function correctly, regardless of the engine fan running continuously. If I'm wrong on that score, then your engine has a thermostat problem "to boot"... which, by itself, could cause poor heating of the inside of the vehicle. NOW, backing up a little, if you so happen to be talking about the fan INSIDE the vehicle that is part of your heating OR air conditioning, we have a little different matter on our hands... First, some vehicles legitimately have a fan running on slow speed at ALL times.. for continuous air circulation purposes (sometimes, you can't actually hear this). Also, I might add that THIS fan running all the time should not be a problem for the heater to work properly.

Last week I ran the air conditioning unit in my 2006 Pontiac Torrent, when I got home the weather had turned cold so I put it back on the heat, however, the heater does not work now, all it does is blow...

Hello first of all

Your blend door motor / acuator is bad its basiclly a door that opens and closes when you flip your
heat to ac dial to either allow the hot air through the vents or cold air.

That being said on some suv and cars and trucks you can replace the motor that controlls this blend door can be changed without removing the dash and some you haveto remove the dash.

The blend door is located right by the heater core in the dash but sometimes the motor that controlls the door blend door is accsesable without dash removal and sometimes it is. I posted a picture below of what part is bad i hope it helps you.

If it helps please leave me 4 thumbs up thanks

My air conditioning unit in my 1999 gmc envoy only pumps hot air. Even when i put it to cool air and on fresh so the a/c isn't running...

This is not a solution because not enough details were provided bua list of maybe's. First thing is to make sure your compressor is running pop your hood with the truck running turn your ac on high and make sure your ac clutch (the part on the front of the compressor that rotates from power of the engine if it works good if not it may be bad or another problem lets say it works next thing to test is your freon pressure you can buy a set of cages or a refill kit not as accurate but still good at your local auto parts store some will even check it for you the normal pressure in your vehicle is between 45- 70 psi suction line side depending on outside temp etc etc. if your pressure is in this range you are good on to the next culprit I believe and dont quote me your truck has an electric ac switch in the dash these switches do go out sometimes all at once tely and sometimes just the heat or just the air to check you need to do a test with an elctrical tester but before we go into this write me with more details and other info

Dropping water

Are you loosing water from the inside of the radiator?...then it is a blown head gasket, or a cracked head/block. Is there steam coming out of the exhaust? Is the water dripping from the exhaust pipe and from the small factory hole in the muffler....then it is normal. Most likely, as every car with air conditioning, the evaporator core collects frost even in the summer and the A/C cycles to heat it, and melt it off. It is meant to drip through a small pipe, under the car, onto the ground. It is perfectly clear and clean water. It is normal functioning of the air conditioning. In the winter when the defrost is selected to clear the windshield, the automatic air conditioning produces cold dry air, which is then heated to clear the moisture. Frost collects on the evaporator core. The system cycles to heat it off from time to time and it will drip clear water in the winter when you didn't even know that the air conditioning was on. After all who needs air conditioning in the winter when you did not select it. The automatic system turned it on to dry the re-heated air to clear the moisture from inside the car.

Diverter Fan broke affecting air and heat

it is not you fan ticking. there is a big door in your heaterbox that switches from heat to a/c. alot of times the motor that turns this door gets jammed. if the motor is removed and the door turned manually, turning the car on with the motor {flap motor} removed still , turn the heat to cold, wait for the motor to stop turning, then bolt it back onto flap and you should be fine.mercedes is not perfect, sometimes you have to remove the dash to access this flap motor
