As long as it is only water from the A/C system, this is normal. If it is engine coolant, you have a leak in the cooling system.

What causes a 2012 nissan altima to have standing water in driver side?

That could be a leak around the windshield. Try driving in the rain, this creates suction to the inside of the car, pulling water into it. If water starts filling in then you have a crack somewhere along the edge of your windows seal. It would likely be leaking down behind the dashboard where you can't really see it. I had a Malibu where somebody crashed my passenger door, after that was fixed by the insurance company, I was driving down the highway, and noticed water pooling in the passenger floorboard. I was alarmed, and called the insurance company claiming the body shop they paid to fix the car messed it up more. But I took it to safelight first, and insurance paid for a new window. Then the leak stopped.

If you have a manifold gasket leak on a '07 trailblazer ss would it make the vehicle lose power when driving down the highway

A manifold gasket leak will cause a power loss everywhere you drive, although a hot engine may lose more power than a cold one. You can check you spark plug color. A manifold leak makes a lean mixture so the plug should show the typical white-ish deposits.

The a/c evaporator has a drain tube that allows moisture to drain out of the car. The tube will stick down on the lower, passenger side of the engine just in front of the fire wall. You can usually only see it from below the car. Sometimes these drain tubes can get clogged with leaves or other debris from the road which doesn't allow it to drain so it backs up and leaks water onto the passenger side floor. Try to locate this drain tube and clear it out. Compressed air works pretty good for this.

Good Luck!

where the water flows from winshield into a drain might be a problem, clogger up,your blower motor will die out soon, expensive to fix, thats why it dosent smell like antifrees, its rain water build up,get your mecanic to blow the drain out, that was the problem with mine, the book has it down for six hours labour to change the blower moter,if one of the heat settings is not working as it should act quickly,

CAR: 1994 Chevy Cavalier. ISSUE: Driving down

For the smoke to occur in the engine compartment it has to be something that occurred external to the engine or an external leak from the engine. White smoke would have been steam and suggest a blown gasket that allowed water to exit the engine. Assuming it was not something that burned it would point to a leakage of oil or perhaps a belt. Two things I would check are the belts and the engine compression. An external oil leak on a hot engine could have made the black smoke and may not show up when the engine is cool. If it is an oil leak you may be able to find out where by putting some paper under the engine and turning the engine over enough to create a drip on the paper.

Also try to remember if you smelled anything when the problem occurred.

This will take your question of the help page so if this doesn't lead to to anything make sure you repost.

Hello, I have a 97 Windstar 3.8 and it has a reservoir leak I am wondering if this is a water pump situation because the radiator is full at all time antifreeze only leaks from the resevoir removed...

sounds like you have a bad thermostat not opening to let water circulate properly would cause it to come out of the overflow tank drain tube. as far as the sound check and make sure you don't have bad wheel hub bearings. if it gets up to 55 it has more than likely shift through all the gears. do you have a tach in the van see what rpm's are if they are over 3000 or more at 55mph then it has not shift out all the way. most vehicles run around 2500rpm's at 70mph
