Recently I had my oil changed and asked the mechanic to re -attach a guard plate that I had notice hanging down under the front end of the car. Now, especially on the highway going 60 to 70 mph, my car sounds like a small plane; there is a droning noise that is a dead ringer for a Cessna twin engine idle. Can you think what is going on? Thank you!
its going to be the plats he reattached to the bottom of the car...its the wind passing through it making the noise..better to have had them take it off

i have vw golf 1.6 automatic. the problem i have is sometimes whilst driving the car just stops, and doesn't start up immiediatly. i have to wait a few minutes and then retry to start it. It also starts reving itslelf really high ready to go even when i've got my feet on the break. like self accelrating. i have to keep feet on brake to control the car from moving, and sometimes it just does not pick up power.

My 1999 VW Polo oil pressure warning light and buzzer comes on regularly after driving for approx 8 miles - oil level & pressure both appear to be ok and water level too. Both sensors replaced and new thermostat but to no avail. Local garage unable to rectify believing an electrical fault to be the problem and suggest I simply ignore or fork out for an expensive diagnostic check by a VW agent. Is this a common problem and if so is there a cheaper solution please?
