Question about 2003 Volkswagen Golf
Immobiliser keeps cutting in intermitently. Have tried the key without the buttons and that worked for a couple of days but now both keys just start the engine and it then dies immeadiately. All the central locking etc works fine.
Any ideas how i can cure this?
This is a far too common problem on this particular model and normally needs the cluster changing. I delved into the problem myself and found the large green connector and the back of the panel was dry jointed. I resoldered the joints and not had a problem since. I decent auto electrical specialist might be able to check this out for you. Hope that helps
