Question about 1991 Honda Accord
S light lights up and blinks what does that mean is it the transmission going
My S light flashes too. Never fixed it and the transmission still works beautifully. I'd fix this if I had to take the car in for a similar problem. not an expert, just an owner for 16 years.

I have also found that in 1991 Honda Accord EX with the F22A4 engine that while I'm driving my S light on the console comes on... after a little while of being aware of what was happening I realized it... On the gear shift, mines an automatic, the Sports shift mode is on the shifter. While driving in a relaxed state I would bump the engaging button for this and would cause the S to light up meaning it was in Sports shift mode. Try driving, or just sitting, and engage your Sports shift button, if the light is on when it's engaged, and off when not engaged it could be your bumping it with your leg like I was... Just thought this would be of help.

The "S" light indicates the TCU or TCM which is located on the passenger side leg area. it has been a problem do to manufacturing problems. it is about a $100.00 replacement cost
best place to purchase will be ebay with exchange.
