check for belt tightness it sounds like the belt is slipping or the idle rpm is too low (near 500) to keep the alternator suppying enough power to run the car(or it is too small amperage alternator for the car anyway..) get tested for free at autozone or parts store..
You more than likely have a bad ignition switch. The wire that powers all these things comes from the ignition switch. The switch is bad internally and you will need to replace it.This should take care of your problems.Hope this helps.Good luck.
sounds like the car is running off the battery due to a bad alternator, the battery is just for the car to start, not to keep it running, replace the alternator and charge the battery and your problem should be solved, hope this helped
I HATE Dodge's electrical system. I purchased a 2000 Neon from a junkyard to teach my son and daughter to drive. I refurbished it, but electrical issues had me using techniques I use in my home repair business to fix em. Okay. I'll get over it.
Before you order one of Dodge's expensive parts then find out that customer service sucks, try replacing the dash fuse. Check the relay under the hood in the engine compartment. The clock might use the same switch, but it MIGHT not have the same power supply. I know it sounds crazy, but this is the same company that has the reverse relay fuse located under the center console in the Neon. I'm sure you've already checked that your switch is in the on position, so I hope that changing the fuse and/or relay work.
