Attached to drive belt. Takes about 30-45 mins to change out. Take off drive belt, drain coolant, remove water pump

I think most of the pontiacs have components located at similar location. You would have to open up the front of the engine where the water pump is located. You may also have to remove the water pump to gain access to it.

The crank position sensor is behind the harmonic balance pulley.

Hello: There isn't any repair kit for this pump. You will have to replace it.

Follow the large diameter hose from the bottom of the radiator. This hose is connected to the water pump.

check the thermal switch for the second fan.disconnect the fan first and put 12v to it and see if it works.these are things i would check....fuse,relay, fan thermal switch(usually on the radiator,,and the fan itself.one fan is the cooling fan,the other fan comes on with the air conditioning.

I believe the water pump is located on the right side of the motor, if it is a 2.3L. right buy the power steering reserve. You might go out and buy a chiltons, my is very helpful

follow the top radiator hose to the engine and that should be where the thermostat is located
