I have a c280 avante garde 2007 model with navigation command system. It was orking fine until I was mucking around with settings and I now no longer have screen display. All functions appear to be working but nothing on the pop-up screen. I have tried turniong on/off and system restart but nothing will get the screen back on? The dealer said the screen needed replacing. I doubt that. Any ideas?

You find a 17 mm bolt under the belt or a 15 mm bolt in the middle of the tension pulley. If you undo the bolat this will release the belt tension.
To remove the belt turn the bolt by slipping a 4' pipe over the socket wrench handle.
Use a wrench as a lever to slide out the belt. Put the new belt last on the idler pulley that contacts the belt only on the smooth side.
Do not unscrew the Button Torx bolt in the center of the tension pulley, it is not needed.

I have a 1995 c280 and the air conditioner(we'll fan) just keeps popping on while I'm driving. My air is not working, meaning getting cold because I need to get it fixed so I never have it on. But it has...

If the fans are working that means the a/c system is operational. Try letting a little freon out while the a/c is on and see if the pump stays runnig. If so Shut the a/c off, drain the freon and replace with r134a and enjoy
