Question about 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
I drive an 1989 Olds. Cutlass Supreme. The horn was going off now and then for no reason. Then about a month ago I went to unlock it and it went off again, and after beating on steering wheel for about a minute, it quit.
Well the other nioght I go to unlock it, and all hell breaks loose again!! Only this time I had to drive to pick up my son and while behind a car at a red light, it went off, not cvontinuously either, but going off like beep beepebbep BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! Now normally I would think this was funny, but the people in front of me started flipping me off and screaming obcenities and because I was beating on the steering wheel it must have looked like I was honking at them thank god the light changed......lol, well now I am laughing, but trust me it wasn't funny at the time.
Anyway, I have spent the weekend in the house too afraid to drive and there are no auot dealers open on the weekend, so I wonder if anyone has any ideas on how to disable the damn thing..?
Pull the horn fuse in the fuse panel either under the dash or under the hood, or you can pull the plastic trim around the column and find the wire for the horn and unplug them but you may have to get behind the airbag to do this, best bet pull the fuse. please rate and that is just too funny i probably would have been pretty mad at you also lol -jeff
