If you don't have access to a scanner, go to you local Auto Zone, O'Reilly's, they will do it for you. If not that , disconnect the NEG battery cable for about 15 min. Hope I helped, TJ

The fluid light should go out when you refill the reservoir. You may have tot remove the brake light switch from the brake m/cyl to allow the switch to reset.
i would say when the person broke into your car they set off the security system which stops the car from starting, the way to reset the security is to put your key into the ignition turn the key until all the dash lights come on and let them stay on about 15 minutes after the 15 minutes have expired turn the key off and wait about 3 seconds and then your car should start. hope this helps.
I would have the 2005 Chevy Impala's computer scanned for codes to see what is causing the check engine light to go on. It is not unusual for a 'miss' or an O2 sensor to go bad on such a high mileage vehicle.
Have it checked, though, in order to pinpoint the problem sooner.
TURN IGNITION KEY TO ON POSITION THEN BACK TO OFF 3 TIMES 3RD TIME
LEAVE IT IN ON POSITON THEN DEPRESS GAS PETAL TO FLOOR 3 TIMES. TURN
KEY OFF SHOULD BE RESET
On my 2005 impala you turn the ignition on and turn the radio
off. Push down the tune nob until settings is displayed on the radio.
Push the seek button until you see oil life. Push the next button on
the radio until you see the word reset then push the tune nob again.
this will reset the oil timer on the car and change oil light should
turn off.
