Question about 1991 Jeep Cherokee Limited
I changed out the flywheel and the senor that goes with it, now it will not start. It will turn over and try to start but that is about it. It has gas and is getting gas. At one time the car had a alarm and someone said that when the computer was unplug that could be it. This is the only car my wife and I have to get to work. Please any help would be so grateful. Thank you very much.
Check the wiring to the crank sensor sometimes the wires under the rubber boot breaks on the engine harness side, pull back the rubber and see, you should check for spark if you have none then it is something to do with the crank sensor, did you check the new flywheel for a pickup spot for the sensor? or possibly a dowel pin that should have been transferred to the new flywheel and wasnt? sometimes also there is a procedure to set an air gap between the pickup point on the flywheel and the crank sensor this is very important there mabye shims or an oblonged bolt hole in the sensor please rate -Jeff
