Blazer My 97 blazer wont start. I have power from the battery to the alternator and to the starter but the car wont turn over and the dome lights wont come on. Also, the truck wont shift out of park. Any suggestions for either problem?

Did you turn the key fully to towards the dash? take the steering wheel left and right slowely and at the same time turn the key back and forth several times slowly. there is a detent inside the steering column that allows you to ingage the neutral safety switch. this should help.....please rate this thanks.

My 97 blazers clicks one time but wont start needs to get jumped to start most of the time lights and radio work also

check your alternator. To do that take a volt meter and check the voltage in the battery with the engine NOT running. It should be around 14 volts... but for the sake of testing lets say it is 12.5 volts. Now start the engine and check the batter voltage again. If it is lower than 12.5... The alternator is shot

All acc power stays on and starter wont stop turning over when battery is connected in my 1997 chevy blazer

I would take a look at the wires down at the starter. He may have the large positive wire shorting to the smaller, trigger, wire. This could potentially cause a back-feed through the whole system.

DOME LIGHTS WONT TURN OFF ON 97 BLAZER WITH DOORS SHUT?

Check to see if one of the door switches is bad. The only other issue could be the dimmer switch turned up, that overrides the door switches. Hope this may get you started.

if voltage reulator on alt. does not stop current after battery is charged it will over charge battery abd can drain cell from boiling electrolite out.check 4 bulged battery case(swelling) indication of overchaeging.the start problem could be your starter wires connection.remove starter wires clean contacts and torque respectively.dont forget the ground to motor.sounds like a loose or corroded contact somewhere.

if you removed the dome lightbulb then there is no longer a draw from the battery there but if the ashtray light light does not go out then over a period the battery will go dead or drained to the point to not the vehicle

There are no free full diagrams on the net, you need to charge and test the battery, clean the battery cables and run a voltage drop test as well, replace them if the are badly corroded. Kragen will test the battery for free.
