Question about 1994 Mitsubishi Diamante
It's a step by step diagnosis, and it starts with the trouble codes. They have to be pulled out of the car with a scan tool,as any trouble codes will dictate where the repairs begin.Part of the evaluation is the fluid condition, and pan contents. If the fluid is burnt badly, and it stinks, this could be indicative of an internal trans problem.A scan tool will also have a data stream available, where you can see, what the computer sees,in relation to speed sensors and gear selector position. All these things have to be looked at to determine a diagnosis.Throwing parts at it (and money) is prohibitive. It needs a thorough diagnosis.Good luck. Please remember to rate this solution.
