2001 jeep grand cherokee a/c

My A/C or heat will not blow. When I drive 60mph I can feel cold air come through the vents but thats about it. I just replaced some kind of switch or relay that sits right by the blower. If its the blower, is it something a average guy can change on his own?

Thanks

I am in Alaska and it is starting to get cold. I just found out that my 2001 jeep cherokee AC/Heater is not blowing air at all. It is not even turning on. I just had the belt replaced and also had a auto start installed. I wonder if one of this mechanics left some thing disconected. It is going to get pretty cold over here pretty soon.

In 99-04 Grand Cherokees with Auto Control the wire connector to the resistor/controller is known to melt causing intermittant functioning of the blower until it won't work at all. If the problem remains undiagnosed it will ruin the resistor and blower. I am told this is caused by extra strain on the blower (leaves, dirt, ect...) and the extra current required to run the fan overheats the wires. The good news it that all the parts can be found on ebay for about $200(blower, wire and controller). Hope this helps.

Just want to let you and the other guy know that I have been having the same issue with the A/C in my '01 Grand Cherokee Limited...I have taken it in to get it fixed twice already and now I have an appointment for a third time. The first time it was the blower motor resistor...then it stopped working again after like 3 months of enjoying the A/C. Took it back to the same guy thinking something they did went bad but it ended up being the blower motor itself that went bad...so had to have that replaced. Now I am taking it back and the guy has no idea why it stopped working again but he said he would take a look. All in all i have already spent well over $400 on parts and labor b/c I don't know the first thing about cars! Hope this helps and I will try to keep you posted in what I find out! Gotta get it fixed before winter or else I am gonna freeze my *** off!

Repair cost on A/C blower for a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. my system is blowing cold air but you can hardly feel it coming out of the vents.

The same just happened with my 2000 Jeep Wrangler yesterday. I'm curious as to what the answer is. I checked all my fuses and it's not that. Can still feel clicking when I turn my switch so I doubt that's the problem.

2001 jeep cherokee - uneven heat. cold air on passenger side. Problem occurs at highway speed. Seems to be OK at slower speeds.

jeep has a problem with the vent doors (which allow heat or cold air to pass into the passenger compartment) these are plastic vent doors, that break very eazy...the dash has to be removed to replace the broken part, which makes this a big dollar item. have both doors replaced, not just the broken one.....sorry...this will be over $500 to fix,

2001 jeep grand cherokee wont blow air through vents

there is a flap to redirect the air flow under the dash, it may be an item like a pen :) that has dropped down the vent opening stopping it from moving to redirect the air ... failing that, one of the motors/cables that operate the flap has failed

My 1999 limited does this. When i bought it off the guy he said that its because of some flap down by the passengers left foot. In mine the passenger air barely even blows because of this.
